Empathy Statistics

Summary: Humans are social creatures. Contrary to a popular assumption, we are not all the same. Truth Bias should be reviewed as a priority. Be mindful of people who are not disruptive; in some cases, there could be a connection to a spectrum development.

Actions, comments, statements and yes, people can be tested for a lack of empathy. It is an equation, a thinking pattern, and linked to mirror neurons in the brain. Usually, the person’s actions and compensating behaviour over time give it away to those who know what they are looking at. Everyone else, pay attention.

True or False: So far, up to 5% of the world’s population is estimated to have no empathy for others due to a number of factors linked to childhood, genetics pre-cursors, and the development environment they experienced.

A diagnosis is not just helpful for the person without empathy; others will benefit knowing zero empathy is an important subject, and boundaries can be maintained for many reasons.

Some can be covertly or overtly malignant; others may not. Relations with a person who lacks empathy are different. Knowing the differences is key to everyone's mental health around them. If not, in many cases, matters may be manipulated, justified with a strange slant, have a bias, and can lead to emotional or physical abuse if allowed to manifest.

True or False: Those with less or zero empathy for others may think nothing is wrong and it’s everyone else. Only seeing reactions from others and not seeing their actions as the cause. They may act with passive-aggressive actions behind closed doors, overtly be aggressive in public.

Bad role modelling in a narcissistic environment can mean genetics and culture are working away from developing empathetic abilities in childhood. Development in childhood is very important, just as what parenting style is received.

With regard to more disruptive types who may see a lack of empathy as a delusional advantage over others and may act with manipulative approaches with certain forms of charm, distraction, deception, false statements, professional victim cards, and blameshifting away from themselves, it is key to spot who has empathy and who hasn’t.

True or False: Only seeing reactions from others and not seeing their core action as the issue is linked to missing empathy, low to zero emotional intelligence, and no self-awareness. Charm may cover up with a masked agenda and point a finger after feeling emotionally injured. The child's perception may not have reached adulthood, regardless of biological age.

Many may try to mask differences to fit in while maintaining a hidden agenda. Or choose not to fit in regardless, only thinking of themselves, which will expose matters sooner. Many behave differently for one core fundamental reason. Empathy. If a situation can’t be processed, it won’t be processed and is usually covered up to keep matters serving at the expense of those uneducated.

Important Note: Deceptive, manipulative covert or overt types who use words and statements to trick, gaslight, charm, gossip, or smear are still bound by the human system. Contrary to their internal beliefs - They will still suffer from the residue of their own actions even if they have a different relationship with shame and guilt.

They may fear exposure and have a false self-construct, and may think everyone has the same thinking cycle. Or feel a need to get everyone to go along with their agenda. Enmeshment influence (harmful).

Being detached means there can be a feedback loop - only thinking of themselves means they are unable to walk in other people’s shoes and see another person's point of view correctly; patterned behaviour is formed due to a lack of progress with considerations in healthy relationships, odd opinions or displaying behaviour in matters where empathy makes a human feel a certain way.

True or False: Mirror neurons in the brains are linked to empathy.

True or False: Some forms of empathy beyond a bias can be developed.

Those without empathy for others may or may not know they are different. Usually, over time it is noted from feedback, but not openly shared if they see it as a delusional advantage over others.

True or False: People with less empathy for others may group due to feeling more at home with a shared perception, although may not agree or understand at times when a subject is outside the perception and ability to have accountability.
